Reason #1. Awesome Cosplay Guest Lineup!

I don’t often get time to toot my own horn, but this time, I’ll make an exception. As one of the contributing writers for many of the Florida Comic Cons pages, I’m thrilled to share some exciting news: I will be guesting at Infinity Con this year!

It’s an absolute honor to be part of such a wonderful maker focused convention, one that not only celebrates creativity and community but brings together some of the most talented and kind-hearted people in the fandom world. And I’m not heading there alone; I’ll be in truly extraordinary company.

Among the featured guests is the incomparable Fatal_Images, whose fantastical FX and haunting prop work continues to mesmerize con-goers across the state. Their creations have an energy all their own, a perfect blend of spooky and spectacular!

Joining us as well is the radiant Basically_Belle_, known for her stunning craftsmanship, impeccable costuming, and undeniable stage presence. With a background in singing and voice acting, Belle brings her characters to life in ways that leave audiences smiling. If we’re lucky, we’ll get to hear a tune or two from her throughout the weekend!

My dear friend Beyondtheworld_cosplay will also be there, bringing with him his signature blend of artistry and engineering. A master of foam crafting and prop design, his creations are a testament to patience, precision, and pure passion. His attention to detail never fails to impress, and I can’t wait to see what new builds he unveils this year.

And of course, the incredibly talented PaladinPrintworks will be in attendance as well. Specializing in 3D printing and design, their clean models and inventive approach to prop building have rightfully earned admiration throughout the cosplay community. Every piece they produce looks like it stepped straight out of the gaming world and into reality. (Paladin’s Website)

Now, dear reader, I can almost hear your question: Nilla, how on earth do you fit in among such incredible talent?” To that, I can only laugh and say, I have absolutely no idea! Perhaps if I keep my head down, take notes, and pretend to belong, no one at Infinity Con will notice the imposter in their midst.

All jokes aside, I couldn’t be more honored or excited to share the con floor with such gifted creators, many of whom I’m lucky enough to call friends. Infinity Con promises to be a weekend of imagination, inspiration, and community, and I can’t wait to experience every moment of it.

Stay tuned! I’ll be sure to update you on how the adventure unfolds. And who knows? Maybe by the end of it, I’ll even learn how to toot my own horn… just a little.

Reason #2.A Hands On Experience at The Forge!

InfinityCon offers something truly exceptional with its Cosplay Forge experience, and we’re excited to share exactly what makes it stand out in such a meaningful way. This isn’t just another panel where you sit and passively watch someone talk about their craft. At the Cosplay Forge, you’re not only an observer, you’re an active participant in the creative process.
Imagine this: you’re not sitting in a room full of people waiting for a Q&A session to ask your questions. Instead, you’re right there, up close, watching live demonstrations of cosplay craftsmanship in action. The creators are hands-on, showing you exactly what they’re working on, step by step. And the best part? You can ask questions at any time, learning directly from the creator as they refine their work, troubleshoot, and explore new techniques. You’ll be learning by watching and interacting, making it an immersive, dynamic experience unlike anything else.
Now, don’t get us wrong, panels are awesome and panels have their place. They’re a great way to hear from speakers and ask questions in a structured setting. But the Cosplay Forge takes it a step further. It’s not just about telling you how to do something; it’s about showing you, helping you dive into the craft with a hands-on approach that is far more enriching.
This isn’t just a one-time demonstration either. You’ll see me and my friends working side by side with you, helping you get your hands dirty, make something cool, and experience the magic of cosplay creation. We’re all about sharing our knowledge! No gatekeeping here. Everyone is welcome, and we want to involve you in the process, whether you’re a complete beginner or a seasoned pro. Together, we’ll break down techniques, share tips, and get creative in ways that are both fun and informative.
InfinityCon is all about pushing the good boundaries, not just in terms of what’s possible with cosplay, but also in creating an open, inclusive space where everyone can learn and grow together. Whether you’re tuning in to a live stream or attending a session in person, the Cosplay Forge is about learning, creating, and building a community.  Stretching the limits of what we can share, and doing it in a way that’s approachable, and, above all, fun.
So, if you’re looking for a truly immersive learning experience where you’re not just being told, but shown how things are done, come join us at the Cosplay Forge. We can’t wait to share our skills and passion with you!

Reason #3. Exciting Take On Event Areas!

InfinityCon has taken a lot of things to the next level, trying to make their con and experience. One of the best ways they have acheived this is their ever growing and expanding “event areas”. With plans to reinvent, add interactive borders and gateways, and art to each section of this already wonderful con, we can’t wait for it to get better each year!

One of our favorite areas is “
The Isle Of Wonder!”,  a spot for the youngest of us, or perhaps the youngest at heart, to get involved, learn something at their level and enjoy some coloring time and crafting without restraint! Also, did we mention the LEGO section? Yeah, we know how you feel. We couldn’t resist either. Remember it’s also for the young at heart!

Reason #4. Enter the Mystic Forest!

The Mystic Forest might be one of my favorite areas of Infinity Con. It’s where theater kid meets magic and the ordinary. Even if you aren’t really feeling the fantasy vibe, it can always be fun to go get a quest from one of the enthusiastic quest givers and try your hand at a raffle or two. But if you aren’t into dealing your hand with the in-character-types, you could always try your hand at the game section of the Mystic Forest.

With Game demos, tabletops waiting for players and friends to be made, this area is the perfect spot for the more adventurous gamer who wants to try something new. But make sure they know the rules. Game demos you say? Yeah it’s okay my traveling companion, they used to scare me too. But, the whole point of game demo areas is to give you a helping hand, and a living rule book for the game that’s interactive and there to hold your hand. If you’re into that!

The best part for me, is there’s often prices and give aways for playing these new games, and if you really like it, discounts on open boxes! How awesome is that!

Reason #5. Fast Paced TechnoTopia!

If fantasy isn’t your style, head down to where you hear laser sounds and crunching metal! Get your time pieces, or time machines, out and keep track of when then next Bot Fight is! You wont want to miss this smashing goodtime!

It can be a bit wibbly-wobbly-timey-wimey out there in TechnoTopia, be prepared for franchises to collide just like those BattleBots, and spend some time with the Star wars themed 501st Legion, where you can play tons of games for charity or trade with Jawas!

Or just a small light year away is the Delta Fleet! Waiting to help you Live Long and Prosper!

If the Galaxy is less your style, dodge the bots and head to the post apocalyptic scenes of The Fallout Experience. Don’t worry, it’ll totally be completely safe! No radiation here! Although we caution every guest to stock up on some radaways if they have the chance.

With all this and more awaiting you at Infinity con we hope to see you there!
