6 Frightening Reasons to Attend Sunshine City Scare 2024 in St. Pete

Are you ready to immerse yourself in a world of spine-tingling excitement and chilling celebrations? Look no further than Sunshine City Scare, coming to the St. Petersburg Coliseum on May 11-12! As proud sponsors of this spooky event, Florida Comic Cons is thrilled to present you with six frightening good reasons why you won’t want to miss out on this year’s festivities! Tickets are affordable for this family-friendly horror convention.

Frightening Reason #1: FNAF Celebration

Sunshine City Scare’s FNAF celebration includes video game horror voice actors Chris McCullough and Joe Gaudet, who portray 6 characters from the video games. And all of the FNAF characters have Pop figures, making the event a rare opportunity to buy and get all 6 autographed. In addition, there is free FNAF gaming (FNAF Help Wanted VR, FNAF Core Collection 1, 2, 3). Also, don’t forget the FNAF photo meetup. Not to mention the amazing FNAF cosplay that will be on display.

Frightening Reason #2: resident evil Celebration

Sunshine City Scare’s Resident Evil celebration promises an immersive experience that delves into the heart-pounding world of survival horror. The celebration includes video game horror voice actor Jeff Schine who portrays major characters like Chris Redfield, who has a Funko Pop Figure. Also, there free gaming with Resident Evil Village. In addition, the video game tournament is Resident Evil Gold Edition. And there is a photo meetup, too.

Frightening Reason #3: the walking dead celebration

Sunshine City Scare’s The Walking Dead celebration brings the post-apocalyptic world to life with featured voice actor Jeff Schine who portrays Javier in The Walking Dead game series. Attendees can immerse themselves further with free gaming sessions, including the acclaimed video game “The Walking Dead Telltale,” offering a unique opportunity to navigate the emotional and suspenseful narratives of this iconic series. In addition, artist Scott Spillman, known for his piercing art of The Walking Dead, is a guest artist. And don’t forget the photo meetup.

Frightening Reason #4: horror entertainment

Sunshine City Scare has lots to do- in fact it’s more than 60 hours of horror entertainment that includes contests, panels, workshops, main stage performances, and more! The event focuses on interactive and engaging activities as well as celebrity guests. And the contests are hosted and judged by cosplay guests with deep experience in the craft. Activities are being added to the schedule daily- check it out

Frightening Reason #5: Saturday after-hours fright 18+

Welcome to After-Hours Fright, an exclusive 18+ event at Sunshine City Scare on Saturday from 6pm-8pm, which promises an evening of thrills, chills, and spine-tingling entertainment after the family-friendly activities of the day. Headlining is the captivating main stage performance by Hell on Heels, renowned for their live rendition of Rocky Horror Picture Show. But the excitement doesn’t end there. The After-Hours Frights will also feature a diverse array of entertainment that includes panels, workshops, and photo meetups – all catering to the 18-plus crowd. Learn more.

Frightening Reason #6: moms get in free on Sunday

Tired of giving your mom a boring ham dinner at a crowded restaurant for Mother’s Day? Come to Sunshine City Scare on Sunday, when moms get in free! (with an accompanying child or adult ticket). Treat your mom to a chilling day of horror-filled fun! And don’t forget the Mother’s Day photo space for the best pic with your mom!

bonus reason: public figure gwen-stacy will be there

Meet public figure Gwen-Stacy, the adorable Florida Comic Cons mascot who will be spreading joy and excitement throughout Sunshine City Scare. Gwen-Stacy loves the Five Nights at Freddy’s video games, at least as much as she can with no thumb (she’s more of an observer than a competitive player). Don’t miss your chance to snap a photo with this beloved public figure who is known for her travels to fan conventions throughout the state.

tickets are affordable & parking is free

Tickets are Saturday $25, Sunday $20, weekend pass $40 (prices increase $5 at door). Children 9 and under get in free. And don’t forget that on Sunday, moms get in free (with accompanying child or adult ticket). Get tickets today! And parking is free.
