The halls of Spooky Empire Summer 2026 were filled with incredible horror cosplay on Saturday, when Florida Comic Cons team roamed the convention floor searching for standout costumes, memorable characters, and the passion that brings horror fandom to life for our Best Cosplay We See! Compeition.

All contestants will receive a free one-day pass to our contest sponsor’s event, Sunshine City Scare on Aug. 15-16. Winner’s include first, second, third places, and each will receive 1 free 2026 St. Pete Cons Annual Pass that includes: Sunshine City Scare, Anime St. Pete on Sept. 26-27, Holiday St. Pete on Nov. 21-22. Sunshine City Scare in St. Pete is Florida’s Official Halloween Prequel, bringing together horror cosplay, spooky shopping, collectibles, panels, contests, creators, and immersive Halloween energy for fans who wish spooky season lasted all year long. This year’s event will also feature a special Five Nights at Freddy’s celebration, while legendary prop builder Evil Ted hosts a Halloween prop how-to panel packed with inspiration. As night falls, the spooky fun continues with the After Dark Slash & Splash Party featuring horror fans, cosplay, music, and late-night Halloween chaos. Tickets start at $20- get tickets today.
