MY-CON

MY-CON (aka Mystic Con) is a comic convention in Orlando, Florida. The annual event, in its fourth year, is more than 8,000 square feet of anime, fantasy, comic and hobby dealers. And the 2021 event is scheduled August 28 from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. at the Wyndham Orlando Resort International Drive.

Organizers set the ticket price at $5 to attract comic con fans and cosplayers who are discouraged by the high price of tickets at other area conventions. “MY-CON is similar to other Orlando conventions but not nearly as costly,” according to organizers.

MY-CON Cosplay Contest

The comic convention is known for its cosplay contests. This year’s begins at 5:15 p.m. Prizes are awarded to first place and most unique in three contest categories:

  1. Kids ages 12 and under
  2. Teens 13-17 years old
  3. Adults 18 and over
