As the summer heat begins to rise, so does the excitement for anime enthusiasts across Florida. Early summer 2024 promises an exhilarating lineup of anime conventions, bringing together fans, creators, and cosplayers for unforgettable experiences. If you’re a dedicated otaku or simply looking to dive into the vibrant world of anime, mark your calendars for what Florida Comic Cons says are three must-attend events. (and a teaser for another one we recommend in late-September).

Bold Matsuri

First on the list is Bold Matsuri in Jacksonville, set for June 22-23. Known for its dynamic programming and welcoming community, this convention offers something for every anime fan, from engaging panels and workshops to a bustling artist alley and vibrant cosplay contests.
Saturday ticket is $40, and only paid parking available.

Following closely is Anime Festival Orlando, taking place from June 28-30. Celebrated for its vibrant atmosphere and diverse programming, this convention features a range of activities, including interactive panels, and a lively marketplace for all things anime.
Saturday ticket price is $60, and only paid parking is available.

Finally, prepare yourself for the grandeur of Metrocon in Tampa on July 5-7. As Florida’s largest anime convention, Metrocon promises a spectacular celebration of all things anime with an impressive lineup of events and activities, including breathtaking live performances, extensive gaming areas, and a massive cosplay showcase.
