Megacon Orlando 2021 is a spectacular comic convention coming up soon. The event is the beast of comic conventions in Florida, attracting more than 100,000 people over its four glorious days. In fact, the annual event is one of largest comics, sci-fi, horror, anime, and gaming conventions in the nation. The 2021 event is August 12-15 at the Orange County Convention Center. Here are 9 staggering reasons to be there.

Staggering reason # 1: More than 100 comic creators are at Megacon Orlando 2021

George Perez, Greg Capullo, Donny Cates, Jason Fabok, Tom King, Ryan Ottley and Scott Snyder are Megacon 2021’s featured comic creator guests.

George Perez

George Perez is in the category of legendary comic artist. He is best known for his work on Teen Titans and Wonder Woman in the 1980s as well as The Avengers in the 1990s. Megacon Orlando 2021 is his final appearance at comic conventions in Florida.

Greg Capullo

Greg Capullo is the current artist on the Batman series for DC Comics. Previously, he had an 80-issue run on Spawn (created by Todd McFarlane) by Image Comics.

Megacon Orlando 2021 is a comic convention that lasts four days, which is more than half of one week! A rarity for the fandom.

Staggering reason # 3: Stars from Arrow are at Megacon Orlando 2021

Appearing at Megacon 2021 from the highly popular TV series Arrow is Stephen Amell, who portrays the Arrow and his secret identity Oliver Queen, and John Barrowman, who plays the villainous Dark Archer and his secret identity Malcolm Merlyn. Arrow is the series that began the Arrowverse TV franchise that includes The Flash, Supergirl, and Legends of Tomorrow, to name only a few.

There is no bigger science fiction franchise than Star Trek and no larger star than William Shatner who played the first Captain James. T Kirk. He is joined at Megacon Orlando 2021 by George Takei, who played Sulu from the original TV cast, as well as by Brent Spiner from Star Trek: The Next Generation.

If you haven’t been to Megacon Orlando, you should give it a try. Manage your expectations that there will be crowds and lines. Neither the traffic getting there nor the lines getting in will part like the Red Sea for your convenience. But a little bit of patience will payoff big in terms of the comic con experience you will have at one of the largest conventions in the nation.

Thursday hours are 4 p.m. – 9.m., Friday hours are 10 a.m. – 7 p.m., Saturday hours are 10 a.m. – 7 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
