Outstanding reason # 4: WasabiCon is nearing its 10th anniversary

The annual event began in 2012. In its eight years, WasabiCon has grown from a one-day event with 700 attendees at a hotel-based convention to a two-day event with more than 4,000 at a convention center. This event is headed for long-standing stardom.

In addition, the event attracts fans throughout northeast Florida for a weekend of artists, vendors, celebrities, tabletop gaming, video games, and other similar geek culture entertainment. Learn more about its history.

Outstanding reason # 5: Guest cosplayers

WasabiCon is emphasizing cosplay by featuring nearly 10 guest cosplayers that includes AKrCosBlackFlame16, and gravitygremlin. In addition, @SewGeekMama is a cosplay guest, which makes WasabiCon 2021 the place to be. We featured her in Florida Cosplay Digital Magazine’s Spring 2021 issue (and cover) titled “12 intrepid Florida cosplayers to inspire you.” Check her out below, and see her booth at the con to learn more about her book “I’m going to my first comic convention,” which is a must-read for families embarking on their first comic con.
