Florida’s Comic Cons 2026 Top Conventions!

Florida isn’t just home to sunshine and theme parks, it’s quietly become one of the biggest nerd-culture capitals in the country. With conventions popping up nearly every week, the state has built a thriving community where fans, cosplayers, artists, and creators collide in the best way possible!

That’s why we’re thrilled to bring you the Annual Florida Comic Con’s Top Conventions of 2026, highlighting the events that captured our hearts, impressed our team, and kept the community buzzing long after the doors closed.

Florida might as well rename itself the Sunshine State of Cons, because if you blink, you’ll miss the next fandom festival rolling into town. From massive multi-day spectacles to intimate fan-driven gems, our con calendar is here to help you stay  organized and ready for the next adventure!

January!

The year may start off a little slow with only a few con’s happening at the beginning of January, but fret not, we will have time for some spring cleaning. A moment to dust of those old cosplays and maybe even create something new!

Or, as I (NillaCosplay) like to say, we can do the “leg day” of cosplays, and finally fix that wig.

Brick City Anime Festival!

January 10-11 2026

Brick City Anime Festival 2026 is shaping up to be an unforgettable kickoff to the new year. Known for its consistently impressive voice-actor lineup, this fan-favorite brings together industry talent, passionate attendees, and a vibrant schedule of events. From its craftsmanship-focused cosplay contest to the high-energy idol fest and community meetups, Brick City delivers the perfect blend of creativity and connection. Whether you’re a returning fan or thinking about making your first trip, this festival offers a warm, lively start to Florida’s convention season.

Central Florida Comic Con!

January 17-18 2026

Central Florida Comic Con is a vibrant celebration of all things nerdy, bringing together fans from every corner of pop culture. Whether you’re into Power Rangers, Hazbin Hotel, classic animation, or the latest gaming trends, this convention delivers a little something for everyone. Its guest lineup always feels thoughtfully curated, mixing nostalgic favorites with rising talent, and the cosplay turnout is as diverse as the fandoms themselves.

What really sets CFCC apart is its welcoming, all-ages atmosphere, and the fact that it stays impressively affordable without sacrificing quality. With engaging panels, interactive activities, and a show floor packed with artists and creators, it’s the kind of con that invites you to explore, participate, and rediscover what you love about the community.

Pensacon 2026

February 20-22 2026

Pensacon is a powerhouse of Gulf Coast fandom, bringing a wave of energy to Pensacola every year with its all-inclusive celebration of pop culture. Spanning comics, anime, sci-fi, horror, gaming, and fantasy, this con has built a reputation for being one of the most welcoming and eclectic events in the region.

Since its debut in 2013, the convention has steadily grown into a beloved staple of Gulf Coast nerd life, drawing in impressive celebrity guests, passionate cosplayers, and a community that shows up year after year with undeniable enthusiasm ready to dive in again and again!

St Pete comic Con!

St. Pete Comic Con is where every corner of fandom comes together, creating a vibrant pop-culture mashup no one can resist. From anime and comics to gaming, cosplay, and indie creators, the convention has always embraced a little bit of everything, like a perfectly balanced fandom meal, complete with, of course, plenty of sweet treats.

This year marks the con’s 5th anniversary, and it’s stepping boldly into a new era. With a move to a larger, more inclusive venue, St. Pete is expanding its programming, enhancing the fan experience, and welcoming even more members of the community. Panels, workshops, and interactive events promise to offer something for everyone, whether you’re a long-time attendee or a curious first-timer.

With its mix of variety, heart, and community spirit, St. Pete Comic Con proves that sometimes the best conventions aren’t just about size; they’re about the experience. Fun, lively, and inclusive, it’s a con that continues to grow in both reputation and excitement.

March!

Megacon 2026!

March 19-22 2026

If you attended Megacon 2025 there’s no doubt in my mind that you know exactly why this ever expanding, ever growing con is on the list for con’s featuring a bit of everything!

We love Megacon for its diverse culture and it’s focus on a few amazing things from the local area. The Disney kids come rockout with the Marvel and DC lovers of Orlando, and the parties are grand. A con for everyone of course Megacon had to make it on our list!

Collective Con Jacksonville!

March 27-29 2026

Collective Con brings its own brand of ultra-nerdy charm to Jacksonville, offering a pop-culture experience that feels both lively and refreshingly approachable. As the sister convention to Central Florida Comic Con, it carries that same “something-for-everyone” spirit, but with a Northeast Florida twist all its own.

Held at the Prime F. Osborn III Convention Center, Collective Con delivers a full weekend of fandom variety. Expect a well-rounded mix of  fan-run panels that keep the energy going all day. It’s the kind of con where you can dive into anime one moment, chat with indie comic creators the next, and wrap up the night at a themed after-party.

Another bonus? Kids 10 and under get in free, making it a fantastic choice for families looking to dip their toes into convention culture without breaking the bank. And because it sits comfortably in the “medium-sized con” zone, it offers all the excitement of a bigger show without feeling overwhelming.

April

FreeCon!

April 4-5 2026

FreeCon at FSU may be one of Florida’s smaller conventions, but it packs more heart, spirit, and community energy than cons triple its size. Tallahassee has long boasted a vibrant nerd scene, and FreeCon does an incredible job of gathering that community under one roof for a weekend that feels equal parts cozy, and fun!

What makes FreeCon truly stand out is its student-driven passion. Every year, the event feels handcrafted with love, from the talented dancers who bring the stage to life, to the anime-inspired performances, panels, and activities that radiate pure joy.

Despite its modest footprint, FreeCon is mighty in personality. The energy is infectious, the stage shows never fail to impress, and the crowd is a perfect blend of longtime fans, students, and curious newcomers. If you’re looking for a convention that reminds you why fandom communities matter, and why small cons can often be the most memorable, FreeCon is a must-visit.

Mystic-con !

Mystic-Con, affectionately known as My-Con, holds a special place in the hearts of many, and for very good reason. For some, it’s a first-con experience that sparks a lifelong love of fandom, while for returning attendees, it’s a cozy retreat where community comes first. Its smaller size only adds to the charm, creating an intimate atmosphere that feels warm, welcoming, and, well… truly mystical.

What sets Mystic-Con apart is the dedication of its volunteers. Their energy, care, and creativity shape every corner of the convention, from panels and workshops to the vibrant vendor area and interactive activities. It’s a con where friendships flourish, creativity thrives, and every attendee feels seen and included.

Whether you’re returning to relive the magic or attending for the first time, Mystic-Con proves that sometimes the most memorable conventions are the ones where size doesn’t matter, but community does. Cozy, charming, and full of heart, it’s a must-visit gem in Orlando’s con landscape.

Spooky Con  Summer! is a must for fans of all things eerie, thrilling, and just a little bit dark. While the organizers host three shows each year, each event manages to feel fresh, exciting, proving that no matter how many times you attend, there’s always something new to experience.

The summer edition in particular is a standout, offering tattoo artists, spine-tingling attractions, and a carefully curated film festival that showcases horror, sci-fi, and cult classics. This convention shines a spotlight on local artists, giving creators a platform to share their work while offering attendees the chance to discover unique, one-of-a-kind pieces. What makes AFO so special is the sense of community and camaraderie. Longtime fans return year after year, friends reconnect, and newcomers are warmly welcomed into the fold. There’s something about this mid-summer event that really brings out the nerd in all of us, whether you’re enjoying panels, exploring the artist alley, or cheering on the cosplayers on stage.

MetroCon

One of the highlights of the upper ranks of the Master’s cosplay community is competing. Metrocon makes sure to make competing here a unique experience. When you take the stage here it’s an experience and you don’t need to win to know you’ve made it.

We love Metrocon’s competition which include, Craftsmanship, Performance and Championship. Bringing forth a degree of talent not often seen!

InfinityCon Tallahassee!

I have yet to make it out to Tallahassee’s version of InfinityCon, but if it’s anything like it’s sister con, I’m absolutely positive it’s got to be a hoot! The creative vibe, thrives at Infinity, and it’s a great con to have one on one experiences with other makers, and artists. Ive learned to much at past InfinityCons from makers who just want to share their craft!

I’m always super impressed with the layouts, Infinity con makes sure to have wide aisles and promises a sensory safe experience!

August 28-30th 2026

Fanboy Expo Orlando is a must for fans who want to experience one of the area’s pop-culture conventions. It may come as no surprise that many of Florida’s biggest cons call Orlando home, but Fanboy Expo stands out with its high-energy and engaging fan experiences.

Ultracon is an awesome Market-centric con where you can stay cool in the great indoor area of their giant event and enjoy all sorts of fandom fun! Ultracon really brings the magic with two large halls of shopping for everyone to enjoy! It’s like Ebay in real life!

Ancient City Con!

Ancient City Con has a unique taste in vendors and charities! We have never been disappointed by the amazing choices they’ve made and we love the interactive quests and piratey themed adventurous they offer!

With makers like WillowCreative, the SHRUNK 3D Jacksonville gang, and COSFXStudios you couldn’t get bored! It was a wonderful time!

Ocala Comic Con

Ocala Comic Con had to make our list for this year!

lthough we didn’t have the chance to attend this year, the buzz from fans was undeniable. Social media was full of incredible cosplay photos, panel highlights, and enthusiastic praise from attendees. Everything we’ve seen points to a convention that knows how to deliver an unforgettable fan experience.

We’re already looking forward to next year, hoping the dates are announced soon so we can join the fun in person. Based on what we’ve heard and seen, this con promises to be a must-visit event for anyone passionate about fandom, cosplay, and community. If this year is any indication, it’s bound to leave attendees counting down the days until the next adventure.

October!

Cosplay: MiraiCon 2026

MiraiCon may be one of the newest con’s on the block, but it’s got some seriously experienced cosplayers running the show! With talent abounding everywhere you look on their staff, it’s no wonder that the cosplay contest is a sight to behold, and a wonderful competition to be involved in.

Thoroughly impressive and run like a finely oiled machine, it’s no wonder Miraicon has already announced their dates for 2026 and wow’ed us with some of their ideas and set our expectations so high!

Scream City Con!

Date: TBA

October wouldn’t be the same without our spooky cons! And scream con is no exception! One of the newer horror themed con’s on the block, this team really knows how to put on a show!

One thing I really loved about Screamcon, was despite it being a horror centric con, it was almost fun for the whole family. The most frightful of us, meaning me, not the kids, had a few heart racing moments, but all in all it was an absolutely brilliant spooky adventure!

Spooky Empire Fall!

InfinityCon Gainesville!

This con duo recently got a makerover! Moving from its more serious nature to a more maker centric, cosplay newbie friendly, and creative fun space, we’ve loved seeing this con’s dreams progress and grow!

With talents like PaladinPrintworks, BeyondtheworldCosplay hosting live demos to learn how they make their own costumes. The more hands on experience is just the cherry on top of a two cherry sundae, because you also can’t help but love the quests and interactive areas.

This Con is taking a new approach to weekend long fun. Moving from the usual booth style and making the space a creative masterpiece with room to grow!

December!

Holiday Matsuri 2026

You might be thinking, “Shouldn’t Holiday Matsuri by top of the holiday cons list”  To that we would say, YES. And it will be! But it’s also one of the best cosplay competitions of year! We absolutely love the amount of quality contestants they bring in from all over. If you want to be blown away by the level of detail put into a costume, this is the spot!

With contestants often picked months in advance, this is one you wont want to miss!

If you’re not much into competitive cosplay and just want to have fun, the Holiday runway and holly jolly cheer of all the other activities is more then enough reason to head to this celebration!
