Favorite Character #1: Silco in Arcane
Jason Spisak voices Silco in Arcane, one of the highest-rated Netflix series. Within a week of its premiere, Arcane ranked first on the Netflix Top 10 Chart in 52 countries, and second in the United States. Arcane is an animated show based off the incredibly popular video game, League of Legends. In it, Silco is the main antagonist, but Spisak has a soft spot for him. He is a character that introduced him to many new and cherished friends. “Don’t cry. You’re perfect,” is a Silco quote that beautifully summarizes the entire show. Nearly every character in Arcane is someone who is authentic to themself without hiding or minimizing who they are. Spisak is a huge advocate of staying true to who you are as an individual and it shows in the way he breathes life into his characters.
Favorite Character #2: Wally West (Kid Flash) in Young Justice
Wally West, more commonly known as Kid Flash, in Young Justice is played by long-time comic book fan, Jason Spisak. Wally is the apprentice of Barry Allen’s Flash and a founding member of The Team in Young Justice. When Spisak went in to audition for the role, being a comic fan himself, he had the pre-existing familiarity with West as a speedster. Wally West begins as a primary comic relief character, but over the course of four seasons matures into a complex individual.
Favorite character #3: Wade Wilson (Deadpool) in Marvel Disk Wars: The Avengers and Marvel Future Avengers
Wade Wilson, or Deadpool, voiced by Spisak, is a morally neutral antihero who has the power of regeneration. He is disfigured and frequently prefers to wear his Deadpool suit to hide his scars. A comedic character in every iteration, Deadpool is a fan favorite and can be seen frequently wandering the halls at comic cons.
Favorite character #4: Lux Bonteri in Star Wars: The Clone Wars
Spisak lends his voice to Lux Bonteri in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, an animated spin-off of the Star Wars film franchise. Lux is a human senator and rebel fighter from Onderon. He has a good heart and seeks to avenge his mother’s death. Joining the world of Star Wars was an incredible experience for Spisak.
Favorite character # 5: Razer in Green Lantern: The Animated Series
Razer, Jason Spisak’s introductory role into the Green Lantern universe in Green Lantern: The Animated Series, is a member of the Red Lantern Corps. He begins his narrative as an antagonist, but through his journey eventually joins Hal Jordan, aka Green Lantern, is his pursuit of good.
Favorite character # 6: Bartz Klauser in Final Fantasy V
Bartz Klauser is the protagonist of Final Fantasy V and Jason Spisak’s first lead role in a video game. He is a kind and passionate young man who aspires to defend his world from evil. Although he can be oblivious at times, he becomes a light warrior in hopes of helping those around him.
Favorite character # 7: Joker in Batman: Hush
The Joker is a role that has been played by many actors before and Jason Spisak was cautious when accepting the role. Spisak brought his own interpretation of who The Joker is to his performance in Batman: Hush and created a memorable experience for viewers everywhere.
Favorite character # 8: Hal Jordan (Green Lantern) in DC Superhero Girls
Hal Jordan, or Green Lantern, voiced by Spisak, in DC Superhero Girls is an attractive and powerful member of the Green Lantern Corps. He attends Metropolis High with the other heroes and is captain of the football team. These shorts are a kid-friendly introduction to the DC universe without all the graphic details of the classic comics.
