Anime voice actor Erica Schroeder‘s first-ever convention in Florida is St. Pete Comic Con on January 8-9, 2022, at the Coliseum in downtown St. Petersburg. And she voices popular characters in cherished anime shows like Pokemon, Sonic the Hedgehog, and Yu-Gi-Oh as well as in games like World of Warcraft: Shadowlands. In addition, her appearance at St. Pete Comic Con gives fans in Florida a rare opportunity to meet Schroeder, who has voiced more than 250 roles for animation and video games since 2002.

Schroeder voices Emma Frost in Joss Whedon’s Astonishing X-Men, a popular X-Men TV series.

The character Devos, who is in World of Warcraft: Shadowlands, embodies the virtue of loyalty. She was a believer in Bastion’s sacred mission of ferrying souls to the Shadowlands.

Schroeder voices the original Luffy in the One Piece manga series. Luffy is the main protagonist, a young boy who acquires the properties of rubber after accidentally eating the supernatural Gum-Gum Fruit, which is a Devil Fruit.

Schroeder voices Lyserg Diethel in the first anime adaptation of Shaman King. The character is an orphan who seeks revenge for his parents murder.

Akiza is one of the five signers, who are the only group that can summon the legendary Crimson Dragon, the embodiment of the red star. Her wardrobe is strongly influenced by Victorian fashion.

Mai is one of the top duelists in the world. She is known for using her charm to advance her interests. And Dark Magician Girl is the female counterpart to the Dark Magician, a former teacher named Mahad. Upon the death of Dark Magician, she vows to train harder to become stronger to honor her fallen teacher.

Blaze the Cat is a princess from another dimension. The character first debuted in Sonic Rush in 2005, and also makes appearances in Mario and Sonic games.

Ilvira in the Netflix animated film hit, Secret Magic Control Agency, ranked #1 in the world on Netflix in April 2021. The character is a stand-in for the witch in Hansel and Gretel, which is the concept the Netflix series is based. And she uses sweets and other baked goods for her dark magic.

Schroder voices two characters — Cheese and Cat — in the animated series Boy Girl Dog Cat Mouse Cheese. The series, which premiered in the U.K. in 2019, was nominated for Best Animated Kids’ Series as part of the Irish Animation Awards 2021.

Schroeder is scheduled to appear at St. Pete Comic Con, a new two-day, multi-genre comic convention in St. Petersburg that features comics, anime, science fiction and fantasy talent, along with a guest roster of Florida’s top cosplayers. And the 2022 event is January 8-9 at the Coliseum in beautiful downtown St. Petersburg. St. Pete Comic Con offers tickets for each day or a weekend pass.
